First set is from a Navy Wrestling Club.

The boxer is Muhammed Ali.

And the final set is from a group picture of a Scuba Diving Team.

Was told my anatomy sketches weren't considered sensitive content, but I kept a little back with coloring these anyway because I can't tell where the line is 😄

Few hours in Krita with the dry brush mypaint preset.

The latter two landscapes are based on the photos that are being made of Mars, with the first more or less based on this photo, and the second being a merger of that photo and this one, apparantly because Mars is so dusty, the sky is usually orange looking during the day, but the sunrise is blue...

Done in approximately 2 hours in total.

1. Exomis, from what I understand the oldest of the male garments. Originally only pinned up on the left shoulder so the right was free to do things. Then a belt and some more pins were added.
2. Doric Chiton, evolved from the Exomis according to Boucher (1963)
3. Himation, also evolved from the Exomis according to Boucher (1963). As far as I can tell, this himation is helt in place on the 'open' side by tucking it into a belt tied across the chest.
4. Himation worn transverse by a woman also wearing an ionic chiton.
5. Himation worn symmetrically by a woman wearing another dress underneath and covering the head.
6. Chlamys. Very often the only thing worn by young men.
7. Another way of wearing the himation by a guy, over a Doric chiton.

1. Doric Chiton(iskos), which I am now sure is not the same as a peplos, because the Peplos is a women's garment, so what statues of men wear must the be Doric Chiton. (The main difference (that is written about) is that the side of the Peplos is open, while the Doric Dhiton sews the sides shut, but visually there's also no folding over at the top).
2. Ionic Chiton on a woman.
3. Ionic Chiton on a man, this is noted to be not super common for men, who were more commonly wearing a chitoniskos. Full length chiton and peplos seems to be mostly common with the folks who don't do a lot of moving around, such as women, priests, the elderly.
4. Ionic Chitoniskos on a man.
5. Two women wearing Ionic Chitons with two different ways of tying the girdle. This gives the chest area a support it would otherwise not have.

Notes:

1. Peplos, based of the Athena in mourning relief. Girdle at the middle, 'low girdled'.
2. Peplos, but completely ahistorical, as the girdle is at the hips and which is too low.
3. Peplos, based on description of high-girdled (on the chest) peplos.
4. Peplos, low girdled, but this time around the overlap isn't bound into the girdle. I mostly see this variation in paintings and classical era statues, which not insignificant as the peplos had gone out of fashion by then, at the same time, might be coincidence???
5. Chiton? Double girdled.
6. Chitoniskos? Based of the many many statues of Artemis where she's wearing one.

Comments:
Another sketch session, finally one that doesn't run afoul of obscenity rules. I had wanted to do more, but it seems 2.5~ hours does gather quite a bit of recording material. (Also, got crashes, which is a good moment to stop...) Similarly, I found a bug in the recorder when increasing the image size, so I had to separately render each image size and then combine them in kdenlive.

For a project I was doing, I noticed that I still hadn't had a good idea of how to draw somewhat muscular arms, even though of any body part I have done the most study on are arm muscles (it even being the body part I have done per-muscle 3d models for for my old 3d course work). So I decided to get some refs, and draw muscly men in extreme poses... and then I realized I actually came across my arms problem in non extreme poses, so did a few of those too.

Each figure is done with a different brush of the old mypaint 1.0 sets, though of course, not all brushes. Did find some bugs.
